Ha Ha ..I guess I have put some salt (unintentionally) on somebody's wounds.NKR ..when did you buy your house and where ?
btw yes ..there have been cases reported where a worker working in Target wrote that her income was 80K ..and managed to get a loan for 400K.(needless to say that house is in foreclosure ..if people had read such stories before rushing to buy during the peak ,..)

There are two ways to give coverage to an issue.One could be decided based on how many people are affected, second could be based on how may people care for that issue.

If you go by how may people were affected, I'll say Palestine has a population of how much, say less than 5 million, but it has the world attention for over 50% of the entire world affairs coverage.For world affairs coverage its Palestine v/s rest of the world, but it seems according to you thats not enough.Why should Palestine or for that matter Israel be so important that it should get so much coverage or attention.All the religions AND HENCE THE VIOLENCE were created there.That's why its best to ignore that place so that twisted minds will not get motivation to fight anymore.But my point is, Isreal Palestine issue already gets more than adequate coverage, more so than rawanda, somalia, sudan, terror attacks in India etc.So based on this I don't think its NECESSARY to give Isreal Palestine any more attention.

But if you apply the second measure, which is how many people care about the issue, well in that case a lot more people here care about the attacks in India and a war between India and Pakistan.For that matter a lot more people on this forum are affected by attacks in Mumbai.If you go to some Palestine forum, maybe you can get more people wanting to discuss their views about Isreal there.But by law of inclination, since there more people on this site from India, you will see more people wanting to discuss about how they and their loved once are affected.If you want to discuss about paleastine, well, go right ahead, no one will respond to you because people are not interested.I am only responding to your rants and not your issue.

Loss of human life, WHICH IS OFTEN DUE TO SOME TWISTED RELIGION, is always very saddening.This is the core belief of every peace loving society and is not coming out in response to yuor rants.Infact, rants such as yours simple make a few people to tone down their expression of sorrow for the loss of human life.

There needs to be correction in your post.When Pakistanis terrorist attacked mumbai, world community blamed Pakistan and not the entire muslim community.The problem is, the way muslim community responds to such world events, due to the sense of the guilt of their twisted belief system, they think that the world community is blaming every muslim, but that is actually not how the world community responded.Also, because of the urge to defend terror attacks by a terrorist, muslim community tends to justify terrorism and terrosit attacks.We saw many "educated" (HIGHLY SKILLED) members, who were apparently muslims, on this forum justifying terrorist attacks conducted by Pakistani terrorist who happen to be "muslims".Because, the overriding factor for a lot people following islamic faith is the religion of the person performing the bad deeds.And if that person happen to be a muslim, most of you guys tend to justify bad deeds including terrorist acts.This behavior results in world community responding to you in plain and simple terms that terrorist sympathizer is encouraging more terrorism and hence you perceive that expression as if the others are branding your entire community as terrorist, but again, this is not true either.Its the direct result of your sense of guilt and your urge to be terrorist sympathizer.

I don't follow any religion.For me nation of my nationality (which could change in future) is above all forms of religions.When I will take US citizenship, my loyalties will be with the nation where my children are born and with the nation where I will become a citizen by CHOICE.Religion has nothing to do my relationship, my responsibilities and my rights in the country I BELONG.I am not saying that this is the right kind of behavior, but the pattern of behavior which is excepted as reasonable by most rationale minds.However, for you, you have to pick up a side in any issue based on the religion of the terrorist or the victims of any situation.You have no regard for the country of your birth or citizenship.Maybe not for you, but I see that as a problem.

I am a peace loving person and denounce every form of violence SPECIALLY THE ONE CAUSED DUE TO RELIGION.But that is not because of your rants, that's just the way I think normal humans behave.Although I must add that its not my issue as much as Mumbai attacks because Palestine is not in my backyard and I don't have the bandwidth to pay attention to Palestine even if I wanted.

How about comparing the actual job duties of all EB2s and EB3s ?Not just what their lawyer says.

Rules are made with good intentions and it is people that misuse them.But for the desi sweat shops selling labors , even the labor substitution has some merits in some cases (Again Not all).

Again , I don't really care what happens with this law suite (even if that happens).Just wanted to impress that there are very good number of legitimate cases where the PD porting makes sense and it is required.

It was bad because many people were selling labor certificates.I know people who bought them for 10K, and got in green card line and well ahead in line than me and probably you ( we both are on the group today).

you are right there are cases where porting makes sense, but you cant claim the same on all cases.There are cases where this practice is unjust and breaking the line.
Why do peole always port in favor of date/time to get faster green card.If porting is so justified ( job duties) how come no one ports to a category that is too late than one they are in.

Most importantly, you cant push people around, just be nice to people.Please.

Can I ask why the complaint in the letter about the change in interpretation of the law in favor of Eb2 I?Before jumping on me, read on.
The overflow visas would not go to EB3 I, under either interpretation.They would now go to either oversubscribed EB2 countries namely India and China(horizontally) or as in the past 2 yrs they went to to EB3 ROW under the old interpretation(Vertically).
Arguably the first one is better for EB3 India since atleast, if you are qualified and your employer agrees and your job description is suited to EB2, then you could move.You certainly could not move your country of chargability.If you were hoping for overflow from EB3ROW, it would still have to pa*s through the gate of EB2I.
Perhaps the person drafting the letter can explain their rationale on including this in the letter.

I agree with Pappu, the single most important thing that could help EB3I in the near term is a visa recapture legislation.That is where the most energy of EB3 and for that matter all of IV membership should be.Specifically the membership needs to get more robust in their actions especially personally meeting lawmakers and their staff.Meeting affected constituents from their districts seems to have the most influence on them.
Additionally, I would not convey the sense that, you were "deciding" on whether to file Eb2 or EB3.That should solely be based on the job description and is more up to the employers discretion in the current law.The beneficiary should not have a role in that(as per what I understand).Additionally, noone was prevented from porting their PD or using Sub labors or moving into EB2 category should the new job description meet the criteria (always remember you being qualified for EB2 means didly squat to the USCIS, it is the job description and the employer's desire for it that the USCIS considers, only then do your qualifications even matter to them).I agree that all of these are irksome to those waiting patiently in line, but those are the rules unfortunately.To my mind, the labor sub.thing was the most egregious, discriminatory and widely abused(thank god it has been ended), unfortunately those in the queue over the last few years paid for it.

Mirage, in my own small way, i was also involved in the fight against Labor Sub.Cannot discuss it here as i do not think this is an appropriate forum.

However, i do understand your point of view.But, you have to realize that EB-1,2 and 3 are DISTINCT paths."Time benefits" should not cascade across these different categories, and that is what i intend to fight legally.

I can provide more details in a week or so, when i have my final draft plan ready.

In your example the EB-3 guy was in the green card line before the EB-2 guy.Why on earth should he be asked to come in line after EB-2 guy if he decides to file a new one under EB-2.Why did not you wake up when Labor Substitution was going on.that was something which was utter non sense.People deciding to go for Green card in 2007 stood ahead of people from 2002 by substittuting a 2001 labor.Thank God it's gone.

I was saddened and anguised with the terrrorist attacks that happened in Mumbai.I hope India follows up on its tough talk and goes after the perpetrators, no matter their affliation or the consequences.That was a provocation and I would love to see LeT or anyone else responsible to pay for it.

But It is sad to see 'educated individuals' channeling their anger to demonize muslims who are equally upset with the Mumbai incident.Just like any religion/race, there are extreme elements among muslims.But this guilt-by-a*sociation should not have any place in modern society though sadly it does.There have been subtle and some not-so-subtle attempts on IV to protray all muslims as terrorists or all terrorists as muslim.

I agree that there are a lot of current terrorist activities that can be attributed to muslims and I condemn them.But Indian muslims have stood up against this latest incident.They are asked to wear their allegiance on the sleeve as if they are in some way responsible for this heinous crime.There are numerous examples of non-muslims who are terrorists but in my view that does not render the wh*le community as such.The gujarat genocide, the attacks on christians in Orissa and other parts are led by the VHP/RSS but the right wing marketing blitz has been so effective, a lot of people have defended this as a reaction.That is exactly the kind of excuse the LeT or any other terrorist organization would make.

Why is it so hard to say - Lets punish the guilty irrespective of their name or religion.Lets have a transparent Criminal justice system.Lets investigate any crime before guilty verdict is pronounced.That would render ineffective any propaganda that extremists use to recruit new members.Most of the people in this forum live in America and the law of this country would be in my view a good example of punishing the guilty irrespective of who and where they come from.

Attacking Pakistan is a stupid idea.The hardcore hawks in Pak wants this only.
